On Sunday, February 24, 2019, INEC Returning Officer, Prof. Maxwell Ezeja, declared Chief Benjamin Kalu (BenKalu) winner of the recently concluded elections for Bende Federal House of Representatives. As soon as news of BenKalu’s victory hit the streets, all communities of Bende Local Government simultaneously erupted in jubilation, singing and dancing in the streets. VICTORY: INEC declares BenKalu winner of Bende Federal Constituency Election

Popular APC candidate, Chief Benjamin Kalu has defeated Chima Anyaso in the race to represent Bende Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives. BenKalu was just declared winner of the election by the INEC returning officer Prof. Maxwell Ezeja this afternoon at the INEC office in Bende Local Government. Out of a total of 87,219 votes counted, BenKalu under the APC had a total of 9,138 votes defeating his opponent Chima Anyaso who had 5,591 votes by 3,547 votes. BREAKING!!! Chima Anyaso’s thugs apprehended by Army in Bende

Military officers have intercepted a bus load of armed thugs allegedly procured by Chima Anyaso in Bende. The officers acting on intelligence provided by locals, stopped and searched vehicles at the military checkpoint just before the Local Government office and apprehended the armed thugs led by the notorious bandit and PDP thug known by the street name, Onyeute.
