A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and 2027 Abia Central Senatorial District aspirant, Hon. Emeka Atuma, has said that he is passionate about representing his Senatorial District, and is fully prepared for the responsibility ahead.
Atuma said said this when a coalition of Osisioma Ngwa-based political groups paid a solidarity visit to him and endorsed him as their sole candidate for the Abia Central Senate seat.
He reminded all present that, just like every other person contesting for the Abia Central Senate seat, he had held elective office before as the member representing the Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency between 2003 and 2007.
The former lawmaker said that the projects he attracted then are still relevant today and challenged other contestants to show their own scorecard from past positions held so that electorates can see and judge.

He promised the people of Osisioma that he will be a worthy representative and will work hard to attract the dividends of democracy to the area if elected.
DrumAfricanews reports that the group, led by the Kabila Movement, Osisioma Ngwa Chapter, stormed Atuma’s Ntalakwu Oboro country home in an intimidating convoy of buses and were received by Hon. Chidi Nwosu, Chief Max Adindu, High Chief Paul Meregini, Chief Jerry Awah and a host of others.
Speaking earlier, top leaders of the delegation like Hon Nnenna Nwaigwe ( Team Leader), Hon Chimaobi Akwarandu,Hon Godswill Ajagba ( Former elected Deputy Chairman) and Hon Chisom Nweke unanimously assured Atuma of their unalloyed support and informed him that he will win convincingly in Osisioma Ngwa LGA.
They charged him to make every effort to clinch the APC ticket for Abia Central Senatorial District and leave the rest to them, and went on to endorse him as their sole candidate for the Abia Central Senate seat.
