It was a highly emotional and joyful atmosphere yesterday, December 29, 2018, (popularly known in Bende as the BenKalu Day) as the Benjamin Kalu Foundation (BKF) celebrated the 15th edition of its Xmas Package for Rural Women in style.

At the event, Chief Benjamin Kalu concluded his mission to clothe 1000 women across all the wards of Bende Federal Constituency.

Recall that in September 2018, the APC candidate for House of Representatives, Bende Federal Constituency, more popularly called BenKalu began a tour of Bende LG, sharing colorful wrappers, exercise books, bags of rice and other materials, to women from each ward.

The tour which began at Itumbauzo ended yesterday in Bende town with a celebration at his country home in Bende.

In his remarks to the women present at the event, BenKalu thanked them for always supporting him.

The cheerful women expressed their thanks to God for helping BKF and BenKalu consistently hold the Xmas Package for Rural Women all these past 15 years and prayed for more grace to continue the acts of charity

Wrappers, bracelets, exercise books, calendars, hand fans and other items were distributed to everyone after which the women cheerfully sang and danced.
