The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has introduced a new feature to assist candidates unable to recover lost SIM cards linked to their previous registrations. JAMB announced this on Thursday via their X handle, that the new feature is now available at all its CBT centres. The Kwara State University, Malete, has said that the recent one-year ban on admission into KWASU’s law programme does not affect students currently running their programmes in its Faculty of Law. The Acting Director, University Relations, Dr Saeedat Aliyu, disclosed this in a statement on Thursday in Ilorin. Aliyu said the ban was a result of the decision of the Council for Legal Education to sanction KWASU for commencing the law programme in 2018 with only the approval of the National Universities Commission. Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested the former Executive Secretary of the National Health Insurance Scheme, Prof. Usman Yusuf, for allegedly awarding contracts to family members while in office. Yusuf was also accused of inflating the scheme’s ICT budget from N4.975 billion to N8.7 billion and approving payments beyond his approval limit. Management of the Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma, Edo State, has announced the cancellation of some final year examinations written on Wednesday following “wild jubilation” by graduating students on the school campus. The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) will not be conducting admissions for law programmes in eight universities following the suspension of the Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree by the Council of Legal Education (CLE) for the 2025/2026 academic session.
