The Isuikwuato Consultative Forum (ICF) *on Wednesday October 1* honored the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of Abia State, Barrister Ikechukwu Uwana, in Abuja, on his distinguished elevation to the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).
The event drew a notable gathering of prominent sons and daughters of Isuikwuato, officials from the Abia State Government, and personal friends and associates of Barrister Uwana.
Leader of the Isuikwuato Consultative Forum and former Director of Operations at the Department of State Services (DSS), Chief Ray Nkemdirim, lauded Barrister Uwana’s achievement, attributing it to his relentless hard work, dedication, and profound commitment to the legal profession.
Nkemdirim urged the newly preferred Senior Advocate of Nigeria not to rest on his laurels but to continue striving for excellence, thereby bringing further pride to Isuikwuato and Abia State.
“The honor bestowed upon you comes with the expectation of even greater service and accomplishments. The entire membership of the Isuikwuato Consultative Forum is immensely proud of your achievements and your contributions toward the development of our community and the legal profession. We have no doubt you will remain a beacon of hope for those seeking justice, serving humanity with distinction.”
Nkemdirim also took the opportunity to commend the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti for appointing Barrister Uwana as Commissioner for Justice, stressing the governor’s love for Isuikwuato.
“The Governor has demonstrated profound love and commitment to Isuikwuato through numerous strategic key appointments and impactful developmental projects within our communities. As a result, we owe it to him and to ourselves to extend our unwavering and unalloyed support to sustain his visionary programmes and forward-thinking policies, all geared toward fostering holistic development of Abia State”.
Also speaking, Establishment Coordinator of ICF, Dr. Iyke Ezeugo, praised Bar Uwana for being an exemplary representative of Isuikwuato.
Other notable ICF members who spoke at the event including Sir Cyril Uchenye, President General of Eluama Development Union, Teddy Kanu from Imenyi and others expressed their support for the Governor’s re-election in 2027.
In his acceptance remarks, Barrister Ikechukwu Uwana who was accompanied by his wife and Mother expressed profound gratitude to the Isuikwuato Consultative Forum for the honor.
He pledged to remain a worthy ambassador of the body, serving with humility and dedication, upholding the values of the legal profession, and contributing meaningfully to justice and societal advancement.
The ICF is an aggregation of Isuikwuato elites at home and in the diaspora committed to the development of the community.
