    President Tinubu Swears in New Federal Officials

    President Bola Tinubu swore in eight Federal Permanent Secretaries, 21 Federal Commissioners of the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC), one commissioner for the Federal Character Commission (FCC), and one commissioner for the National Population Commission on Monday.

    The eight permanent secretaries took the oath of office just before the commencement of the first Federal Executive Council meeting at the Council Chambers of the State House, Abuja.

    The swearing-in of the permanent secretaries, done in one batch, was anchored by the Director of Press, Media Office of the President, Biodun Oladunjoye.

    The permanent secretaries include Onwusoro Ihemelandu (Abia State), Ndiomu Philip (Bayelsa State), Anuma Nlia (Ebonyi State), Ogbodo Nnam (Enugu State), and Kalba Usman (Gombe State).

    Others are Usman Aminu (Kebbi State), Oyekunle Nwakuso (Rivers State), and Nadungu Gagare (Kaduna State).

    President Tinubu also swore in 21 Federal Commissioners of the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).

    The commissioners sworn in are Linda Oti (Abia), Akpan Effiong (Akwa Ibom), Enefe Ekene (Anambra), Steve Ugba (Benue), Eyonsa Whiley (Cross River), Aruviere Egharhevwe (Delta), and Nduka Awuregu (Ebonyi).

    Others are Victor Eboigbe (Edo), Wumi Ogunlola (Ekiti), Ozo Obodougo (Enugu), Kabir Mashi (Katsina), Adamu Fand (Kano), Kunle Wright (Lagos), Almakura Abdulkadir (Nasarawa), Bako Shetima (Niger), and Amosun Akintoye (Ogun).

    Nathaniel Adejutelegan (Ondo), Saad Bello Ibrahim (Plateau), Aji Anuluri (Yobe), and Bello Rabiu Garba (Zamfara).

    He also swore in Kayode Oladele (representing Ogun State) as a commissioner of the Federal Character Commission (FCC) and Olukemi Iyantan (Ondo) as a commissioner of the National Population Commission.

    Council members also observed a minute’s silence for a former cabinet member, former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Jeremiah Useni, who passed away on January 23, 2025.

    Present at the Council meeting were the Vice President, Kashim Shettima, the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, the Head of Service, Didi Walson-Jack, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, as well as Ministers.
