Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has reshuffled his cabinet and relieved five commissioners of their duties.

In a press release issued on Tuesday by the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado, the move was described as part of efforts to revitalize governance and enhance service delivery to the people of the state.

The statement noted, “Five commissioners have been removed as part of the administration’s commitment to introducing fresh ideas and energy into governance. This aligns with the governor’s vision of strengthening government operations and effectively addressing emerging challenges.”

The affected commissioners are Jamila Dahiru (Education), Abdulhameed Bununu (Internal Security and Home Affairs), Usman Danturaki (Information and Communication), Madugu Yalams (Agriculture), and Yakubu Ibrahim (Religious Affairs and Societal Reorientation).

Governor Bala Mohammed expressed his gratitude to the outgoing commissioners for their dedication and contributions to the development of Bauchi State, acknowledging their roles in advancing key policies and initiatives during their tenure.

The governor has also submitted the names of eight individuals to the State House of Assembly for security clearance and confirmation as new commissioners. The nominees are Babayo Tilde (Toro Local Government), Abdullahi Mohammed (Misau Local Government), Bala Lukshi (Dass Local Government), Usman Shehu (Shira Local Government), Iliyasu Gital (Tafawa Balewa Local Government), Titus Ketkukah (Tafawa Balewa Local Government), Babayo Gabarin (Darazo Local Government), and Lawal Rimin Zayam (Toro Local Government).

According to Gidado, the governor remains committed to fulfilling his administration’s mandate and assured residents of Bauchi State that the government is determined to drive impactful development and improve the welfare of its citizens.
