The member Representing Bende federal constituency and Spokesperson of the House, on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 paid an unscheduled visit to the various ongoing projects sites across Bende federal constituency to assess the level of work done and ensure the delivery of quality as promised to his constituents.
With a first stop at the Immigration office which is almost at its completion stage, the representative while expressing satisfaction over the project, stated that he is more delighted on the job opportunities and increase in economic activities that the project will yield once it is completed.
The tour continued to Bende town where he stopped to inspect the ongoing SOLAR MINI GRID which is still under construction with the aim of providing electricity for communities for over 25 years. Taking on the sport assessment of the level of work done as much as what is needed to arrive at the agreed delivery dateline of the Bende solar grid project, Rep. Benjamin Kalu appreciated the quality of material available for the electrical aspect of the job however expressed displeasure on the slow pace of the project, he appealed to the contractor handling the project to speed up their work as to attain the targeted the time of delivery as agreed by both parties.
It was a moment of delight as the representative and his team arrived one of the biggest projects in the last two years, the ecological project in NKPA UMUIMENYI which was flagged off on the 27th of August, 2021.
While observing the level of preparation and availability of equipment on ground for the commencement of Nkpa umuemenyi ecological project which captures the construction of a new bridge, drainage system and other necessary palliatives needed to curb the menace of uncontrollable movement of water within the axis, the representative enjoined the youths of the community to be of good example by protecting the construction equipment as well as the engineers handling the projects. He also encouraged the engineers to ensure that work begins in earnest as soon as the rains reduce to ensure they meet up with the estimated time for the completion of the project.
He appreciated the people of NKPA for their hospitality and support to the engineers also for securing the working materials. The people were grateful that the project is gradually coming to fruition. In the spirit of gratitude, the representative was hosted by leaders of the community who were present during the visit, Justice S .N Imo and Chief Ochiobi, where they further prayed and asked the almighty to continue guide him as he remains committed to fulfilling every promise he has made to the people.
