It was another day of jubilation as the people of Okai-Item danced out to welcome their representative, Rep. Benjamin Kalu and his entourage as they arrived for the commissioning of the Okai-Item primary school, Bende Federal Constituency on Wednesday, September 1, 2021.

Rep. Kalu who began with songs of praises to the almighty God, appreciated the people of Okai-Item for their unwavering support and prayers. He recalled during elections, when the people of Okai-Item honoured him with a chieftaincy title. He added that what they have seen today is just a sample of the plans he has for them.

While speaking, he spotted another classroom block in a deplorable state, he promised the community that, the building will be reconstructed in no distant time. He acknowledged the challenges they have in accessing clean water and assured that them that he will also work for it to be fixed.

He mentioned that the APC government is committed to ensuring that the dividends of democracy will always get to the people irrespective of culture, tribe and religion. He encouraged the people to continue to support the party as they continue to work tirelessly to bring these dividends.
