Rep. Benjamin Kalu mourns Prof. Godswill Obioma

Rep. Benjamin Kalu mourns Prof. Godswill Obioma

The Member representing Bende Federal Constituency and the Spokesperson of the House of Representatives has expressed grief and sadness over the death of the Abia born Registrar of the National Examination Council, Prof. Godswill Obioma who died on the 31st of May, 2021.

The representative in a press statement released today June 1st, 2021, mentioned that the late professor was a friend and a big brother to him who was always there to give helpful advice in difficult situations. He stated that he was a constituent of Bende Federal Constituency, an elder statesmen who was always committed to the growth and development of the constituency.

He wrote

‘This shocking news has left me completely disturbed and devastated as Prof. Obioma is a friend and big brother. An elder-statesman from Bende Federal Constituency, that I represent.

Until his death, he was committed to serving the nation and had been very steadfast in executing this task. He was a man of intellectual prowess, hardwork and dedication to service.’

Rep. Kalu described his loss as a great loss to the people of Bende, Abia State and Nigeria at large.

He prayed that God will grant his immediate family, friends and loved ones the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.

THE DEATH OF PROF. GODSWILL OBIOMA IS AN IRREPARABLE LOSS

It is with great grief and sadness that I have received the news of the death of Prof. Godswill Obioma, the Registrar of the National Examinations council who died on Monday, 31st May 2021.

This shocking news has left me completely disturbed and devastated as Prof. Obioma is a friend and big brother. An elder-statesman from Bende Federal Constituency, that I represent.

Until his death, he was committed to serving the nation and has been very steadfast in executing this task. He was a man of intellectual prowess, hardwork and dedication to service.

This is a great loss to the Bende people, Abia State and Nigeria at large. I commiserate with his immediate family who are left to bear the burden of this irreparable loss.May God grant them the needed strength and comfort at this very difficult time.

May his soul Rest In Peace as he journeys to the great beyond.
