Addressing a gathering of all the traditional rulers in Bende, Dr. Orji Kalu today lambasted the current PDP government in Abia State for grossly underperforming.
“Since my tenure as governor ended over a decade ago, the succeeding government has done nothing to improve the lives of Bende and Abia State people. They have not created any more roads in Bende, no electrification projects and no free tuition for school children. Instead they are content owing teachers and workers in the state.”
The Former Governor went on, “we have given them enough time to perform and it is clear that they have nothing to offer. Come February we will sweep them out and replace them with competent leaders from the federal down to the state legislature level.”
Assuring the monarchs and community leaders of the security of their votes, Dr. Kalu added,
“We crave a free and fair election. Anyone who attempts to tamper with the results will be dealt with.”
