Member representing Bende Federal Constituency and APC Consensus Candidate for the Office of the Deputy Speaker for the 10th House of Representatives, Rep. Benjamin Kalu have assured women of inclusion and equal opportunity for all gender in the 10th House.
The Lawmaker made this statement as he received the former Woman Leader of the APC and the Head of the Secretariat of the President’s Inaugural Committee Mrs. Stella Okotete who was at the Joint Task Secretariat to advocate for women’s inclusion in the coming administration.
Mrs. Stella urged the Representative to pay attention to the representation and visibility of women in the party and the National Assembly. According to her;
“I am here to lobby for our women, for more representation of women in the helms of affairs of our party and more visibility for the women in the National Assembly, also a reconsideration of the women bills that were either sponged or not assented to in the 9th Assembly.”
Rep. Kalu assured her the leadership of the 10th House is one that will balance inclusion and equality as every voice is essential and must be heard.
In his words;
“We will prioritize institutional transparency promoting inclusion while balancing inequality between gender. The 10th House is one where every voice is important and will be heard. The leadership that will bring leadership innovation and transformation is here.”
