The people of Alayi ward in Bende LGA have assured the Member representing Bende Federal Constituency, Rep. Benjamin Kalu of their support for his re-election as he triumphantly arrived Alayi in continuation of his campaign rallies across all wards in the Federal Constituency.
Traditional leaders of Alayi community including HRM Eze Abba, HRH Eze Kalu Okorie, HRH Eze Nwafor Chukwu, HRH Eze Philip Ukeje, HRH Eze Donatus Iheke, HRH Eze Iheanyichukwu Owoh formally received the lawmaker on his arrival.
The Spokesperson of the House of Reps while addressing the traditional rulers mentioned his achievements in just three years in office regardless of many distractions, He stressed that his goal for the transformation of Bende is one that he is genuinely passionate about and it is evident in his performance so far. He highlighted some current projects attracted to Alayi as well as many young graduates from Alayi whom he has assisted in gaining employment in Federal Ministries and Parastatals.
The lawmaker stressed that it is impossible to solve all the problems in Bende within three years but the difference in his representation is clear from what Bende has always had, with a comparative analysis of 12 years of the past representative Hon. Nnenna Ukeje who is also from Alayi. He expressed confidence in his ability to lift Bende to greater heights if re-elected.
The Campaign Trail of the APC Flagbearer further progressed to various villages in Alayi where he was received with celebrations by community members along with the Minority Leader of the Abia State House of Assembly and Member Representing Bende North State Constituency, Hon. Chijioke Chukwu.
Rep. Kalu appreciated constituents from Alayi for coming out massively to welcome him. He mentioned projects that have been facilitated in the community including the Amabo/Amapu/Agbakoli road which will be completed soon. He encouraged them to vote for APC across all levels of governance to ensure that they continue to enjoy the dividends of democracy which other political parties have denied them for so many years.
