As we race towards February 2023 the month of reckoning, the political arena in Bende Federal Constituency is overcrowded with more entertainers, theatrical performers, jesters and comedians, like never before.

While fewer number of real party candidates are busy selling their candidacy and its attached resume to an appreciative electorate, there are others whose electoral campaign can be better described as Boys’ Scout Boot Camp exhibition.

This group of candidates are very busy launching Kamekaze attacks on the only electoral candidate, Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu who dared to showcase his track record, and restore hope to a parched political landscape riddled with tales of failed dreams, deprivation, hopelessness, anger and resentment.

The Labour Party  could be likened to a ship, piloted by a captain, Peter Obi, who is busy trying to convince his crew of his mastery of the tumultous sea.

But the “Obidient ship” is also filled with stowaways who had mischievously sneaked into the ship bowels in their desperate bid to outrun nemesis and evade their sordid past too.

The unregulated, unsanitized political environment has allowed for the emergence of hordes of unsavory characters, all pretending to be candidates, when infact they are just political hangers-on, tag’s long and the hoi-polloi, all hoping to hitch political rides on Peter Obi’s political and public image.

Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu stands tall and alone in these as the most qualified and preferred candidate in the  history of electoral eligibility in Bende LGA.

That is why he appears to be the target of frightened, outclassed and  overwhelmed boy scouts who can only beat their bare chests to impress their mates.

    Bring it on.

Let’s see any of your verifiable pointer to good character, integrity or maturity.

    NONE!

    How about track records?

    NONE!

CAN THE BOYS SCOUTS PLEASE KEEP THE NOISE LOW SO WE CAN HEAR THE REAL SOLDIER, BENJAMIN OKEZIE KALU, BLOW HIS BUGLE.

These candidates are bereft of any ideological conviction nor pedigree to showcase.

And so they reckoned that the only possible means to grab any semblance of competitiveness and relevance would be to launch a barage of mudslings against the person of Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, in their pathetic bid to taint his glowing public image.

But the electorates now know better.
