The Member representing Bende Federal Constituency, Rep. Benjamin Kalu was on site to inspect the ongoing construction at the Eme Bridge in Nkpa, Bende LGA on Monday, March 15, 2022.
Recall that the massive ecological site project was attracted by the Representative after he moved the first motion on the floor of the House of Representatives upon resuming office. The project is in addition to the 8.3km road cutting across several communities, which was flagged off on the 27th of August 2021.
Rep. Kalu who was accompanied by Stakeholders of Nkpa Community including, Justice Sunday Imo, Fmr. Chief Judge of Abia State, expressed his pleasure on the quality of work at the site, he further inspected the materials for the construction in detail.
While commending the contractors and engineers for putting in a good work on the site, he urged them to continue maintaining the speed and quality standards which they are currently working with.
Another stakeholder of the community present for the inspection, Pioneer Innocent Nwabuikwu Ochiobi(Picolo) stated that the Nkpa People are anxiously anticipating the completion of the project, he added that this is indeed a landmark project attracted by the Representative emphasizing that the Nkpa community are solidly behind Rep. Kalu even as the next election draws near while commending President Muhammadu Buhari for this approval and the Ecological Office for the efficient implementation.
