It was a signature training program yesterday being the 3rd of December 2021 as the member representing the people of Bende Federal Constituency, Rep Benjamin Kalu partnered with Advanced Unmanned Aerial Vehicles Laboratory (AUAVL) Uburu in Collaboration with Virdi Navitas Tech. Ltd on a skill acquisition training of youths in Aquaponics Development in Bende Federal Constituency.
During the training which took place at Agbamuzu Town Hall in Bende, over two hundred and fifty constituents from the thirteen wards of Bende Federal Constituency were trained freely on fish farming and how best to combine crop farming with fish farming in the same environment. Hon. Emma Trump Eke, the Director General of the Benjamin Kalu Movement who was Chairman of the training committee welcomed Dr John Ogbole who led his team down to Bende for the training.
After the training, certificates of participation were duly issued to participants which serves as a license for the floating of fish farming business. This is one of the ways the lawmaker is seeking to reduce the level of unemployment in the constituency and encourage a self reliable employment that will help increase the economic growth and development of Bende people.
Recall that Rep Benjamin Kalu sometime ago also facilitated the training of his constituents on pig farming, grass cutter farming and poultry.
The training was coordinated by Hon. Emma Trump Eke the Chairman of the occasion, Hon. Cyril Kwubiri the LGA secretary of APC, Hon. Henry Ikechukwu Chimbuo the incumbent APC chairman of Bende ward, Hon. Okezie Usim a former aspirant of Bende south State constituency, Lady Philomena the former Abia State APC woman leader, Hon. Kalu Onukwuo APC stalwart, Hon. Prince Iniewe (BKM) Itumbauzo ward Coordinator and Hon. Iheonu Chukwuemeka the former APC Councillorship candidate of Itumbauzo ward A.
The participants who were full of gratitude appreciated the representative for his thoughtfulness in bringing such advanced training to them, adding that they will utilize the knowledge gained from it to start profitable business which will also employ other constituents.
