In politics, loyalty is tested not by the speeches we make during election season, but by the sacrifices we make when the cameras are off. It is tested by consistency, by service, and by the willingness to build the party even when personal ambition is not on the table. By these measures, Prince Alex Mbata stands out as a faithful son of the All Progressives Congress in Imo State and a committed advocate for a better Owerri

Prince Alex Mbata’s relationship with the APC is not transactional. It is rooted in conviction. Long before the party became the platform of government in Imo State, he identified with its ideals of progressive governance, internal democracy, and people-centered development.

Through the years, he has remained a stabilizing force within the party structure in Owerri Zone. He has supported party activities, mobilized grassroots structures, and stood with the leadership at critical moments. This is the kind of loyalty that does not waver with the political season. It is the loyalty that builds institutions, not just personalities.

As Ronald Reagan once said, “There are no constraints on the human mind, no walls around the human spirit, no barriers to our progress except those we ourselves erect.” Mbata has consistently refused to erect barriers between himself and the party. He has chosen to walk with the APC through its challenges and its victories.

Good governance requires partnership between government and committed citizens. Prince Mbata has demonstrated this understanding through his complementary efforts that expand the reach of the APC-led state government under Governor Hope Uzodimma.

In areas of education, youth empowerment, community development, and welfare, his interventions have filled gaps and brought relief to families across Owerri Zone. He does not do this to rival government, but to reinforce it. His projects align with the 3R mantra of Reconstruction, Rehabilitation, and Recovery, ensuring that more people feel the impact of governance where it matters most.

This is what responsible party faithful do: they do not wait for elections to serve. They serve, and in doing so, they expand the credibility and acceptance of the party among the people.

One of Prince Mbata’s defining qualities is his respect for every member of the APC, from the ward executive to the ordinary card-carrying member. He understands that a political party is only as strong as its base, and the base is made up of ordinary men and women who sacrifice time, resources, and energy to keep the party alive.

He listens. He consults. He engages without arrogance. In a political culture where many forget the grassroots after elections, Mbata has remained accessible and approachable. This respect has earned him goodwill across party structures in Owerri Zone and beyond.

As Mahatma Gandhi said, “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.” Mbata has found himself in the service of the party and its people.

Prince Alex Mbata’s ambition for Owerri Zone is clear and measurable. His vision is anchored on three pillars:

    1. He has been steadfast in creating opportunities for youth and women through entrepreneurship, skills acquisition, and access to markets. Owerri Zone cannot develop if its young people remain idle and disengaged.
Mbata has over years, been supporting the state government’s efforts in roads, healthcare, and education while pushing for federal presence and projects that will open up the zone for investment.

    2. He is a gentleman whose words are his bonds. He does not deceive neither does he say what he cannot. Indeed, what he can do is always known by what he has been doing. He is team leader and worker who will always ensure that every part of Owerri Zone feels represented, heard, and carried along in decision-making processes and deliveries of dividends of democracy. His mission is to give the zone a voice that is respected, principled, and results-driven.

    3. This is not about promises made in the heat of campaigns. It is about a track record of service and a blueprint that aligns with the developmental agenda of the APC-led administration.

To the faithful members of the APC in Owerri Zone, the choice before us on Monday 18th May, 2026 as we go into the primary to elect the party’s flag bearer for the senate and in 2027 for the main election is about strengthening the party and securing its future. We need representatives who will consolidate the gains of the party, not weaken them. We need men and women who will complement government’s efforts, not distract from them.

Prince Alex Mbata represents that choice. His devotion to the APC is proven. His loyalty is consistent. His respect for party members is genuine. And his vision for Owerri Zone is clear, practical, and people-focused.

As we prepare for the tasks ahead, let us rally behind a man who has stood with the party and is ready to stand for the people. A better and greater Owerri Zone is possible, and with Prince Alex Mbata, we have a candidate who understands what it takes to deliver it.

The time to consolidate is now. The time to support loyalty, capacity, and vision is now. The time for Prince Alex Mbata is now.
