The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Abia State chapter, has hailed the Bible Society of Nigeria (BSN) for appointing Archbishop Isaac Nwaobia as a member of the board of trustees (BoT) of the society, describing it as well deserved.
The Chairman of CAN in Abia E, Rev. Ojo Ojo Uduma said that the appointment of Nwaobia who is currently the Archbishop of Aba Province and Bishop of Isiala-Ngwa South Diocese of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion into the Bible Society of Nigeria is a plus to Christianity in Abia State and the entire South East.
Rev. Uduma described Nwaobia’s appointment to the BoT of BSN as one that will help to uplift the Kingdom of God, which he says has its main root from the Bible, which the BSN focuses on making sure it gets to everyone both physically and spiritually.
“It’s a good one for the growth of the church down here. I’ve known Archbishop Isaac Nwaobia for a while, and he’s one of those men of God who’ll humble themselves at any level for the gospel of Christ.
“The Bible Society of Nigeria made a wise and a very good choice in appointing him to that position because he will definitely do more for the upliftment of the kingdom of God.
“He has been a source of encouragement to me. He’s a leader in several places and that might have contributed to the appointment. There’s no mistake to this appointment because he’s humble and God fearing.
“The Bible Society is all about penning down the scripture in the hearts of many people, not just giving them the Bible physically. So, I don’t think they gave Archbishop Isaac Nwaobia this position just to distribute the Bible.
“They know he has more to offer. The appointment will help us enlarge the vision of the BSN. I have no doubt that Nwaobia will use the appointment to draw all of us closer for the proper expansion of the kingdom of God.”
He charged Archbishop Nwaobia to ensure he used the position to do exceedingly more than what he had already done and continue to push the gospel to all corners of the world.
Rev. Uduma charged Christians not to relent in their trust and continue to be strong in the things of God, as God cannot forget His own and all those who are faithful.
