Coming at the heels of the gathering of Bende APC stakeholders early this month at Nkpa at the behest of Dr K. O Ononogbu,  the cerebral State Chairman  of APC,  all roads leads to Item tomorrow morning by same Bende stakeholders to receive the gubernatorial candidate of the party to the local government. In the last few weeks,  there has been a flurry of activities across the state by the High chief with the sermon that Abia can be great again. Not yet the period of campaigns,  Ikechi Emenike,  a celebrated political strategist is taking turns across the local governments and communities consulting the low and mighty on what must be done to reverse the Abia tragedy and conundrum.

Bende stakeholders and their friends will converge in Item alongside their traditional institutions to welcome High chief Ikechi Emenike.  He is expected to hold consultation with individuals and the people who he has pledged to serve come 2023 when the mantle of leadership falls on him.

More like coming home, the Ohuhu High Chief will be comfortable with Dr Ononogbu,  a Bende son by his side.  For the records, this is the first time a Bende son will be chairman a foremost political party in Abia state. And it will not be out of place for the indigenes to reciprocate in too many ways than one. This might just be one of the numerous visits the High Chief will embark to Bende in the progressive March to the government House Umuahia. Bende do big things,  they have big sons and daughters and they know how to receive big sons and daughters from outside Bende.  Tomorrow will be one such day; a day of reckoning indeed.
