It was another joyful day as the people of Amaokai Ugwueke came out en-masse to receive the Member representing Bende Federal Constituency, Rep. Benjamin Kalu on his arrival to commission a block of three classrooms recently completed in the community.
Present at the commissioning were the council of Chiefs led by HRH. Eze Nwafor Chukwu, Eze-Ugwu (II) of Amaokai, men and women of Amaokai community, including the pupils well dressed in their school uniforms to welcome the Representative.
HRH. Eze Nwafor in his opening statement thanked Rep. Kalu for remembering Amaokai Ugwueke, he mentioned that, since the creation of the community, there has been no government intervention whatsoever, he also appreciated the Representative for delivering the project within record time.
The head teacher, Mrs Agbai Ijeoma I. U in her speech also reinstated that there have been no government intervention in the school since its inception, she emphasized that the structure will have significant impact in the lives of both the students and teachers. She further solicited for the attention of the Representative to the staff room to make it more convenient.
The leaders and members of the community joined Rep. Benjamin Kalu as he commissioned the newly constructed classroom block in the name of the Father, the son and the Holy Spirit while the pupils who were visibly overwhelmed with joy rushed in to celebrate the new structure now in place for use.
The woman leader of Amaokai Ugwueke Madam Comfort Iheke in her vote of thanks expressed gratitude for the good works of Rep. Benjamin Kalu, thanking him for bringing dividend of democracy not just to the APC members but for all including members of other political parties.
The community also presented the Member with gifts in appreciation for what he has done in just two and half years.
