Rep. Benjamin Kalu calls on the people of Bende Constituency and Abians to participate in the zonal public hearing of the 1999 Constitution Review.

The Member representing Bende Federal Constituency who doubles as the Spokesperson of the House of Representatives has urged the people of Bende and Abians to attend and participate in the zonal public hearing of the 1999 constitution review by the House of Representatives Special Committee on Constitution Review

The representative made this statement in a press release where he stated that this is an opportunity for citizens to make their voices heard as the nation embarks on this process.

He also emphasized that this is a good platform to air their views and make meaningful recommendations towards the amendment of the constitution at the public hearing which continues on the 1st and 2nd of June 2021 at different designated locations.

Rep. Kalu called on Town unions, faith-based organizations, traditional leaders, women association, trade unions and youth to embrace this opportunity.

House of Representatives Committee on Constitutional Review Zonal Public Hearing.

Following the ongoing exercise on the 1999 Constitution Review, the House of Representatives Special Committee on Constituency Review will continue the zonal public hearing across the 6 geopolitical zones in the country.

I encourage the good people of Bende Federal Constituency and Abia State to participate in this process as this is a good platform to speak out on your concerns and make meaningful recommendation as the nation seeks to amend the 1999 Constitution.

I call on Town unions, Faith-based organizations, Traditional leaders, women associations, Trade unions, youths and other stakeholders to embrace this opportunity and make their voices heard.

The House Special Committee on Constituency Review will ensure that every recommendation is captured and well considered as the nation continues with this important process.
