    The Spokesperson of the House of Representatives and Member representing Bende Federal Constituency, Rep. Benjamin Kalu has expressed sincere gratitude to the well wishes by all and sundry as he marked his 50th birthday.

    In his appreciation message, he mentioned that he chose to celebrate this 50th birthday in a solemn mood considering the times the nation is faced with.

    The representative expressed his delight at the goodwill messages of friends and well wishers, remarking that he was elated and humbled.

    He wrote,

    ‘Words may not suffice to truly express how I feel. It was elating and humbling at the same time. But more importantly, it calls for my deep reflection on the privilege of leadership and ways to serve you better. I reaffirm my commitment to delivering quality representation and the mandate of my office. I will not relent.’

    He specifically thanked the past governors of Abia State, as well as other states men across party lines who extended their wishes and prayers.

    The representative added that in his gratitude, this also calls for deep reflections in leadership and ways to serve them better.

    Dear Constituents, Friends and Well-Wishers,

    THANK YOU

    I wish to sincerely thank you for the overwhelming outpour of love, wishes and prayers as I marked my 50th birthday yesterday.

    Considering the dire times our nation is faced with, I chose to celebrate my 50th birthday in an unostentatious manner taking into contemplation, the sensibilities of my fellow Nigerians.

    However, I read, with delight, the goodwill messages from far and wide. I must thank Their Excellencies, Senator Orji Kalu, Senator T.A. Orji and Governor Okezie Ikpeazu also Speaker, House of Representatives, Rep. Femi Gbajabiamila, Rep. Nkeiru Onyejeocha, Deputy Chief Whip, House of Representatives, Sen. Nkechi Nwaogu, Dr. Uche Ogah, Minister of State Mines and Steel, Speaker, Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chinedu Orji, Hon. Chijioke Chukwu, Chief. Chinenye Nyerere Anyim, Dr. Marc Wabara, Sir Ndukwe Osogho Ajala OON, Bishop O. C Chiemeka, Dr. Soni Ajala SAN, Dr. Gordy Uche SAN, Engr. Nana Nwafor, Chief Kingsley Ogba Nwokoro, HRH Eze Uwakwe Ukaegbu, Chima Anyaso, Mascot Uzor Kalu, allexecutives of APC Abia State as well as other statesmen and leaders from all walks of life and across party lines, too numerous to mention here,   who have celebrated this golden age with me.
