On his way back from a fact-finding visit to the Apanu Item River Basin on December 12, 2018, Chief Benjamin Kalu’s convoy was besieged by happy and eager supporters at Amaokwe who were happy to see him. All efforts to disperse the crowd of eager supporters failed and Chief Kalu eventually had to address the people of Item who were excited to see hm. The APC house of representatives candidate for the Bende Federal Constituency assured the people of his commitment to winning in the forthcoming elections in 2019.
