Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, PhD, CFR has extended his heartfelt congratulations to the Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Dr. Samuel Ogbuku on his milestone 50th birthday.
In a statement, the Deputy Speaker said that Ogbuku’s leadership at NDDC has been truly remarkable.
He noted that his vision and expertise have transformed the agency, yielding tangible results in infrastructure development, healthcare, and financial discipline.
Kalu cited the completion of critical infrastructure projects, such as the Obehie-Oke-Ikpe road and Ogbia-Nembe Road, saying they have notably improved connectivity and economic opportunities.
He added that the commissioning of the Omotosho Power Station to Okitipupa feeder line by NDDC under Ogbuku has significantly improved electricity in 25 local governments and empowered many communities.
The Deputy Speaker said that Ogbuku’s commitment to stakeholder engagement, transparency, and accountability have earned him widespread recognition and admiration.
Celebrating the MD’s many achievements, Kalu also said he looks forward to continued progress in the Niger Delta region.
He prayed for continued wisdom, good health and success as Ogbuku embarks on the new chapter of his life.
