Amidst celebrations, praises and gratitude, the member representing Bende Federal Constituency, Rep. Benjamin Kalu commissioned the renovated Girls’ High School in Uzuakoli, Bende Federal Constituency today, August 31, 2021.
Present at the commissioning were the community leaders, traditional rulers, party leaders, stakeholders and members of the community.
While welcoming the representative, Kingsley Okechukwu Arisa, a stakeholder from the ward recalled that the school used to be a meeting point for hoodlums and unsafe for he learning, he expressed appreciation for the new look adding that it is now a conducive environment fit for learning, he thanked the representative for the projects being attracted to the community and Bende at large.
In his response, Rep. Kalu stated that he was delighted to fulfill the promises he made during the elections which included the Girls’ High School, Uzuakoli, adding that education is very important to him as it is the foundation of every great individual.
He added:
‘With joy in my heart, I have come to commission a place where the next generation who will replace us, will seat to study and learn to become great people’
‘I pray that under in this project, they will get wisdom and knowledge which is the foundation of greatness’
He encouraged the community to guard the project jealousy to prevent hoodlums from tampering with the properties. He also mentioned that he will attract more projects to Uzuakoli in no distant time.
The leaders of the community thanked him immensely while promising continued support for his administration.
