Rep. Benjamin Kalu penned a heartfelt message to all fathers in Bende, thanking them for their prayers, unwavering support, legacies and contributions to the growth and development of Bende.
He recalled with fondness the words of wisdom and blessings that he received from Bende fathers during his election campaign in 2018/2019 and reaffirmed his commitment to upholding the mandate he was given.

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY
June 21 marks the Father’s Day celebration, a day set aside to honour fatherhood and paternal bonds, as well as the influence of fathers and father figures in our society.
Today, I celebrate all elders, fathers, brothers, uncles and father figures in Bende Federal Constituency, I appreciate you all for your prayers, unwavering support, legacies and contributions to the growth and development of Bende.
They say that the words a father speaks to his child in the privacy of the home is not heard by the world. True to this, I will always remember the words of counsel you spoke to me during my campaign to represent the people of Bende Federal Constituency and I seize this opportunity to reaffirm my solemn commitment to uphold the mandate given to me when you laid your hands and gave me your blessings.
Thank you for all the sacrifices and contributions you have made in the lives of ndi Bende; it is your effort and labour that has made Bende what it is today. Indeed, if I stand tall, it is because I stand on the backs of those who came before me and I am proud to be a son of ndi Bende.
