The people of Amaekpu, Apuanu, Amaokwe and Okoko Item, Ugwueke-Eziukwu and Alayi today, came out in droves to welcome Dr. Orji Kalu, APC candidate for Senate, Abia North Senatorial Zone during his tour of wards in Bende LG.
The former Governor of Abia State was accompanied by Barr. Benjamin Kalu, APC candidate for House of Representatives, Bende Federal Constituency and Hon Chijioke Chukwu, APC candidate for Abia State House of Assembly.
Addressing the crowd of elated supporters, Dr. Kalu thanked them for their support, imploring them to vote APC all the way at the polls in February and March.
The people of the communities assured the candidates of their full support and chorused songs ridiculing Abia State’s current PDP government for under performing, for owing workers in the state several arrears of salaries and for what the villagers described as PDP’s habit of touting fictitious achievements over the radio.
