Let me begin by congratulating these notable personalities Chief Chima Anyaso and BARR. Benjamin Kalu for their gallant and dedicated efforts in ensuring that Bende is redeemed from clumsy representation after over years an individual has held sway of that prestigious position without effecting the lives, area and people of Bende democratically and effectively.
Let me also congratulate these two individuals aforementioned for coming out to salvage the rot in Bende Federal Constituency. Of a truth the two personally are best fit for the job but unfortunately the people of Bende will only have an opportunity of choosing one between the two.
I have never before drum any political support for any politician from Bende before even after spending years in Bende. I have never trusted any politician that will warrant me spend my precious time and money to purchase a vuvuzela to blow for any politician especially from Bende in the previous years… But having taking my time to refresh my memory of the glorious antecedents I witnessed in the life and character of BARR Benjamin Kalu, I am perturbed, elated and moved to shower my personal encomium to him.
It began few years ago as a novice in town and street of Bende sighting a group of young men and women that their future looks so uncertain, blink and hopeless, I can remember seeing in their faces once more after hope was returned to them by the man they cried out to. During those years, I saw BARR Benjamin Kalu built a strong followership not just because of his wealth as at that time but because of the way he has touched the lives of those young men and women that throng to his house for help and assistance. He is not just a politician per say he is more a philanthropist than a politician.
I remember vividly also his short time as T. C Chairman in Bende how he turned his office into a safe heaven where people get the needed relief they sort. He will say”this money is ours and must be given to our people”
One of the distinctive qualities I found in this learned gentleman is his passion to eradicate poverty to its bearest minimum to to his hometown and the neighboring community. Because of his benovelance demeanor his popularity spaned and waxed down to Uzuakoli, Alayi, Itumbuzo, Ntalakwu and even my hometown Igbere.
BARR. Benjamin Kalu started the rescue mission of Bende in the last two occasions when he contested and was rubbed and denied by the power that be then in PDP, Abia State. After spending so much in those two elections I was surprised to see him up again for the same context for the battle for the seat of Bende in 2019.
He may not be a money-bag politician but he’s a well articulated personality that am very sure will raise the standard of Bende Youth if elected by God’s grace. He is sound and has a powerful oratory speech that people of Bende are known for. His business ideology and vision is something Ndi Bende will benefit from when he join it with government. Ben Kalu for once I know him has not given any kangaroo empowerment of motorcycle, buses and what have you rather his empowerment are human and capital based as he has sponsored so many Bende youths abroad over the years and has given out thousands of scholarships to the less privileged that I personally knew. He has capacity to attract modern things to Bende if God willing he gets our votes and support.
I am sure BARR Benjamin Kalu will never disappoint ndi BENDE if he eventually gets the nod to serve his people. I have KNOWN Him for more than 10years now and his success and philanthropic story has remained the same.
A vote for him is a vote for restoration and rebuilding of fallen Bende.
