Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon. Benjamin Kalu, has rallied support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027, as he reaffirmed the commitment of the leaders towards consolidating the Renewed Hope Agenda come 2027.

Kalu, who spoke at the commissioning of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement National Secretariat in Abuja on Friday, described the event as an investment in public engagement and an enduring relationship between leadership and the people, stressing that leadership finds its deepest meaning when it brings hope within the reach of ordinary people.

On the reaffirmed commitment, Kalu said that the commitment is driven by the bold reforms and purposeful leadership of His Excellency, President Bola Tinubu.

According to him, “From the student loan scheme through NELFUND, which expands access to higher education, to the establishment of regional development commissions, including the South-East Development Commission, these initiatives reflect a clear commitment to creating opportunities, promoting inclusive growth and addressing the needs of our people.”

Kalu, who is also the Director-General of Presidential Campaign Council 11 (South), commended President Tinubu for his courage, vision and determination in steering the affairs of the nation.

He said that the door-to-door movement will serve as a vehicle for taking the message and impact of this administration to every part of our nation.

“I urge all members to carry the achievements and impactful initiatives across all 774 Local Government Areas and 8,809 wards of this administration, ensuring that the Renewed Hope Agenda reaches every community and that Nigerians can see and appreciate its impact.”

He also expressed profound gratitude to the President for assenting to the South-East Development Commission Act, which he said was an important step towards addressing reconstruction, infrastructure and development priorities in the South-East.

According to him, “As a representative of Bende Federal Constituency, I particularly appreciate President Tinubu’s assent to the South-East Development Commission Act, an important step towards addressing reconstruction, infrastructure and development priorities in our region.”

The Deputy Speaker commended the convener and Grand Patron of the PBAT Movement, High Chief Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, for the initiative, commitment and resources in establishing the national secretariat.

Kalu urged the movement to embody the highest standards of democratic participation by listening to citizens’ concerns, stressing that “Nigeria benefits when citizens can exchange ideas peacefully and participate in public life with confidence and dignity.”
