…vow to ensure Kanu, Ekpa, relatives change their surnames in shame, fear
All communities in the Orsu LGA of Imo State have announced a complete ban of the use of the word ‘Biafra’ in their land, the parade of the Biafran flag, and the parade of the pictures of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.
This announcement comes on the heels of the recent recovery of Orsu and Ihiala by the JTF and the capture of the Eastern Security Network (ESN) operational headquarters at the Udeke (mother) valley and the subsequent at large mode of ESN Commander General Amaobi Chinoso Okafor (Igwe Buteuzor).
Making the announcement, Leader of Odimma Orsu Security, High Chief Ezeala Ikedinaekpere, said that henceforth, the word ‘Biafra’ is abominable, the name ‘Nnamdi Kanu’ is a curse and the flag called the ‘Biafran flag’ is a reproach and must not be seen or heard again.
The Orsu leader, however, warned that those who try to go against the current law in Orsu will face severe consequences, as the entire Orsu people will not join anyone to eulogise names that have done nothing but bring gruesome deaths and pains to them.
In his words, “I don’t want to hear anything about Biafra again. The word ‘Biafra’ is now outlawed in Orsu. Nnamdi Kanu’s picture is now a taboo in Orsu. That thing you people call the Biafran flag is hereby banned and seen as an abomination in Orsu.
“Anybody we catch roaming about and parading the Biafran flag here in Orlu, we’ll give him the treatment given to a criminal. It got to the level that we don’t want to see anybody bring in any newspaper that talks about Nnamdi Kanu or Biafra in Orsu henceforth.
“We’re very serious that even the women selling akara must avoid selling their products with any old newspaper written ‘Biafra’ or ‘Nnamdi Kanu’ because we’ll take this ban very seriously.
“The devastation these two names, Biafra and Nnamdi Kanu, caused for us is unpardonable and unforgivable. If we catch anybody with Nnamdi Kanu’s picture in Orsu, the person is good as gone.
“Nnamdi Kanu is an abomination; he’s a curse, and we don’t want to ever be associated with such a cursed name and abominable creature. I’m happy that our people don’t answer to such a name; if not, we’ll rename any child bearing that name.
“He’s a criminal and must not be allowed any space in Orsu till the end of our world. Nnamdi Kanu didn’t marry from Orsu; his criminal foot soldiers like Anayo Nwaokike (Ikonso), Engr. Mike Ahize and others are not our in-laws.
“Up till today, we’re still wondering why they left their home towns to come to Orsu and cause the carnage they caused here,” Ikedinaekpere said.
Across all Orsu LGA communities, which include Awo-Idemili, Hitenansa, Amaruru, Amazu, Amaebu, Amannachi, and Asaa Ubirielem, Eziawa, Umuhu Okabia, Orsu Ihiteukwa, Okwu Ufuruaku, Okwu Amaraihe and Okwu Etiti, the ESN has been accused of Sexually molesting and raping their daughters and wives; Land grabbing: planting of land mines in their houses, farms and forests.
They are also accused of destroying their means of livelihood (Eke-Ututu Market, a market that is more than 400 years old; in fact, it’s the oldest organised market in Igboland) and killing off their promising youths, especially those who resisted joining them in their criminal venture.
Speaking on what he saw during an investigation and observation in Orsu, an Nnewi-born Igbo consciousness teacher, Nze Tobe Osigwe said that the current Biafra agitators messed with the wrong generation.
“Now hear me: if Simon Ekpa or Nnamdi Kanu are buried in Ala Igbo when the unfortunate death that they deserve comes, we will ensure their corpses are exhumed, their bodies burnt and their ashes thrown inside an evil forest outside Ala Igbo.
“Ojukwu was given a hero’s welcome by our fathers’ generation after the destruction, death and carnage that was done to Ala Igbo after promising them Biafra. Ojukwu boasted there was no power on earth that could defeat Biafra.
“Thirty years after Ojukwu’s empty boast and the desolation that came after the highfalutin promise, Ralph Uwazuruike came with his own deceit.
“Ralph the swindler promised the generation straddled between our fathers and my generation, Biafra. Uwazuruike exploited their emotions and enriched himself stupendously.
“This generation rewarded Uwazuruike with a palatial mansion fit for a feudal lord in Owerri after many Igbo youths have lost their lives agitating for Uwazuruike’s Biafra.
“Now, enter Nnamdi Kanu and Simon Ekpa. These two criminals felt they would be rewarded like those before them with a hero’s welcome or palatial mansion.
“Well, we have given them a room in the prison while we pour spit on their names. My generation will make their names an anathema.
By the time we are done with Nnamdi Kanu and Simon Ekpa, their relatives will surreptitiously change their surnames.”
Osigwe said that his generation will expose the atrocities these men committed in the name of Biafra, and by the time this generation is done, no right-thinking Igbo person will utter the word ‘Biafra’ in Igbo land again.
“Now hear me: if Simon Ekpa or Nnamdi Kanu are buried in Ala Igbo when the unfortunate death that they deserve comes, we will ensure their corpses are exhumed and their bodies buried outside Ala Igbo.
“The heroes’ burial that was given to Ojukwu will be the last burial for anyone that has caused us pain in the name of Biafra. We will use Nnamdi Kanu and Simon Ekpa to show others that you cannot deceive the same set of people twice. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.”
He lamented how ESN destroyed many facilities, factories, companies, markets, and schools, including Sacred Heart International School, Orsu, which was burnt to smithereens and made desolate.
“Hear me, any movement or ideology that attacks schools, education, teachers, or students is an enemy of truth, anti-people and a purveyor of ignorance. This school was the best school in the whole of Orsu and one of the best in Imo State.
Since 2022 it was burnt down; the only people the school has been open to are wild grasses and trees. Dear Ndi Igbo, The only crime Sacred Heart International School, Orsu, committed was it allowed her students to sit for the exam on Monday.
“The shutdown of a school is the shutting down of a window of light! Take a look at these pictures and see what Nnamdi Kanu’s Biafra or Nothing looks like.”
